I'll be next to you and you'll be right there next to me...

Alright, guys. I just thought I should write one last post as a single woman. That's right folks. In about 14 hours I'm off to Los Angeles to spend a little time with my family. And in about 32 hours I'm off to "happily ever after".
I started a new job this week. But I'll fill you in on that later. There's only one thing on my mind. And I pretty much need to sleep. So thanks for your support. I love you all. I'll see you at the reception. I'll be the one in the long white dress. :)

Wish I could shut my playboy mouth

I remember that Monica told me about this a month ago, but I forgot to look it up until now. First of all, I love Weezer. 'Nuff said. But secondly, I feel vindicated! I don't like Lady GaGa at all, but Poker Face (Joker Face) gets stuck in my head all the time. Apparently Rivers can relate. Enjoy!

Zero times any number always always equals zero.

Happy Monday! This weekend was particularly exciting. I had the opportunity to go through the temple on Saturday afternoon. Not only was it absolutely amazing and wonderful, but most of my family and close friends that I had wanted to be there were able to be there. It was so awesome to see them all waiting for me in the Celestial Room as I walked in. Pretty awesome. And I must say, I'm loving the garments.
Also, I hope that no one feels slighted by the fact that they have not received an announcement yet. We just sent them out today (FINALLY!!) but there are still a few that will go out tomorrow. So don't worry, you'll get them. It's been a long complicated process, and I don't love the announcements, but there's nothing we can do about it at this point. Everything was just rushed and postponed and yada yada yada. All I can say is that at least we have a beautiful picture. Thank you, Aunt Misty!
Wedding things are starting to come together, now. I'm not gonna lie, I am feeling quite stressed overall, but I know that everything will work out. I have wonderful family and friends that are doing so much to help. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect family to marry into (the man I'm marrying isn't too bad, either). My mother-in-law is doing so much. Seriously. She's made bridesmaid dresses, sashes, she'll be making the cake and MY dress. Not to mention lots of other little things and running around she's done. And my sisters-in-law are the best. They are the coolest and they're all doing so much to help out, too, even from all the way in Utah. But I'm just a very lucky girl, my friends. Well, more like blessed.
My mom's still working out the details for the shower, so those invites will also be going out this week. And actually, the shower will be on or around Thursday September 17th. So keep your eyes peeled. If you can't come, I understand and I'm sorry that everything has been on such short notice.
Enough wedding talk.
So B.C. kind of screwed me over this semester, so I am not taking any classes this semester and I'm looking for a full time job, so if anyone hears of any employment opportunities or if y'all have any connections, remember to hook a sister up. I'm starting to get very worried about finances, not to mention the fact that I've been feeling like a menace to society!
On a lighter note, the fam is going camping this weekend! Whoo! I haven't been camping with my parents since I was probably 10. Every time they have gone, I haven't been able to go for whatever reason. So I finally get to, and I'm pretty stoked because it's a ward camp out. So I highly encourage you to all come (we're a friendly little ward and would LOVE company, so even if you aren't technically in First Ward, we will gladly adopt you in for the night). It will be so much fun, guys! Camping + Cecil = good times. The last time I was camping with my dad, he decided to go mountain biking. Down a mountain. He didn't need a trail; he made his own. To make a long story short, he had to buy a new mountain bike after that little incident.
Anyway, I have a nice cold swimming pool that is calling my name...

I apologize to you and to anyone else that I hurt too. I may not be a perfect soul, but I can learn self control so pardon me, my friends.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out the irony of how my life is taking an incredible and unexpected twist, and I am truly so happy and excited--on the edge of my seat, even- for what is in store for me, yet I don't blog anymore. Why is this? My goodness, friends. I never wanted to be this girl, and I want to apologize to my faithful followers for not keeping you up to date, to my family for being gone all the time, and especially to my friends who I have not only neglected, but all but abandoned. I have reached a new low. I am super lame. Let's see if we can't work on this problem here in these next few weeks. But, please try to be a little understanding. After the wedding, life will be a lot less crazy and I will have more time.
So to catch you guys up on my life...
  • I'm getting married.
  • I started delivering newspapers (LA Times, NY Times, Investor's Business Daily, Wall Street Journal) at 2am everyday of my life.
  • My car was broken into because, like an idiot, I left it parked in the institute parking lot for a few days while I was camping in Utah. They stole the face to my stereo and my CDs. Fortunately I have all of my music in iTunes. Unfortunately, they took the hard copies of my precious Weezer CDs. And my stereo won't work without the face, but I haven't had the heart to tell Uncle Kevin, who could easily fix it, because it was his bday present to me just a few months ago. So now I drive in silence. Sad day (relived every. single. day.).
  • Weezer is going on tour next month and I don't have tickets yet. What is WRONG with me?!?
  • I, Britney Nicole Clemmons, after nearly 22 years of life, an engagement, and an extensive interview process, am a current temple FULL-reccommend holder. Mark your calendar Monica, it's August 22nd. Can you believe it???
Okay, I think that is sufficient. I know I haven't given you much detail about wedding things or the engagement, etc., but a lot of you know it already. If you want details, I suppose I can fill y'all in :) PS- Friday, September 25th. Write it down. Announcements will be out within a couple of weeks.
Once again, I'm sorry. I'll be a better friend, guys, I promise.

I like you crazy.

Meet David Heywood (pronounced Heeeeeey wood. Just kidding.). He enjoys long walks on the beach, candle-lit dinners, and putting glass slippers on the feet of fair maidens. Okay, okay. This isn't a craigslist personal, but it is my way of introducing my wonderful friends and family to one of the main contributors to my lack of blogging lately. This handsome guy has been occupying quite a bit of my time lately, so I thought it would be nice to introduce you all to Mr. Heywood. I'm not really sure about long walks on the beach, but he's probably a fan of the whole "candle-lit dinners" business. He is the first to tell you that he loves food. He's particularly fond of chocolate milkshakes. He likes music (his favorite bands include Pearl Jam and Incubus). He LOVES movies (but only the good wholesome kind) and can quote them like nobody's business, and does so at appropriate times. When you get him together with his brother and sisters, prepare to experience movies (like Ferris Beuller's Day Off, for example) like you've never experienced them before! He served his mission in Guatemala, where he was shot in his right shoulder. But it ain't no thang because he grew up in Wasco, CA, so he's been conditioned for this kind of regular occurence. Drive-by shootings are no stranger to him. ;) David is quite the smart cookie as well, my friends. Before his mission, for kicks and giggles, he applied and was accepted to four different universities, including UCLA. And his favorite class last semester was Calculus. Quite the contrast to my...uh, "lack" of all things school related. I am, afterall, on the ten-year plan at Bakersfield College.
At any rate, this is my boo. He's funny, and handsome, and clever, and honorable, and charming, and oh so wonderful. And hey, I'm bringing him to church on Sunday, so some of you get to meet him.
I adore him.
